Upgraded Warthog Design
The Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog MKII features a joystick base with anti-stiction ball bearings, an optimized metal structure, and new electronics for smoother movement, improved durability, and wider grip compatibility. These updates set the MKII apart from the original HOTAS Warthog, which uses the earlier base and electronic architecture.
The MKII combines this updated base with a 100% metal, 1:1-scale VIPER grip and dual throttle controls inspired by the A-10C Warthog, both officially licensed by the U.S. Air Force.
The Warthog HOTAS MKII is designed for Windows PC. It offers native plug-and-play integration with Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, making setup easier in these supported simulators.
Precise and Durable Flight Control
The VIPER grip provides 19 action buttons, including a dual trigger and an 8-way Point of View (PoV) hat, keeping essential controls within easy reach. H.E.A.R.T. (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) magnetic sensors provide 16-bit resolution for precise input without sensor wear or drift over time. A mechanical polarizing system helps you install the grip correctly while protecting the connector.
The A-10C-inspired throttle lets you control two engines independently or lock both throttle levers together. A pull-and-push system provides separate Idle and Afterburner positions, while adjustable friction lets you change the throttle's resistance. The integrated control panel adds dedicated switches, buttons, and a trim wheel, reducing your dependence on keyboard controls during a flight.
Flexible Thrustmaster Ecosystem Compatibility
Another important MKII update is the redesigned electronic architecture and 6-pin connector. While the original HOTAS Warthog was designed around the earlier Thrustmaster grip generation, the MKII supports all generations of Thrustmaster grips, with support for up to 128 buttons and 8 axes. This gives you more freedom to change grips while retaining the same joystick base.
The included desktop plate gives the flightstick a wide and stable footprint for direct use on your desk. You can also integrate the joystick into a compatible cockpit when you prefer a fixed flight simulation setup.
