Pros and cons
- Using a keyboard is history if you use this button box
- Can also be used in the dark thanks to the backlight
- The MFD’s ‘display’ is a static image, and therefore it is only decorative
Keyboards are history
With as much as 20 programmable buttons and four sliders, the Thrustmaster MFD Cougar is a real replacement for the keyboard while flying. With two MFD’s (Multi-Functional Displays) in one pack you have a lot of keyboard shortcuts within reach, and you can fully concentrate on flying.
The MFD Cougar has an internal storage on which our personal settings can be saved, which is very convenient. This comes in handy especially when you want to connect your panels to another system because this way you do not have to configure your buttons and switches again.
F-16 Fighter Replica’s
The two Multi-Functional Displays are life-size replicas of the U.S. AirForce F-16 Fighter. The MFD’s buttons are backlit, and both MFD’s come with an acrylic glass window that slides into the MFD Cougar along with a pre-printed card. Maps can also be downloaded from the Thrustmaster website and can be printed and modified to suit your needs.
